I used to pattern them, but the farm is in Illinois, so I only get to pattern every once in a while. I take the guns to the club, and shoot SC with them. If my scores don't change much, I figure they are good to go. If I can break a clay target at 30-40 yards, I can drop a pheasant or quail at the same distance. I put a LM in the gun, and that is what I stick with. I will probably bring a full complement of tubes with me, for close birds behind pointing dogs, I will probably go with Cylinder, or IC. I will probably be lucky if I shoot 2 boxes. The rest will be used shooting Sporting Clays during the course of the year. Rex said he is contemplating bringing 2 flats, don't want him to out gun meI'm impressed. If you're gonna fire 500 rounds, I think I'll just stand behind you and watch. What chokes will you be using? Do you mike them, or just trust the manufacturer on the specs?
First, thanks for the heads up about the water situation. I will be prepared.
Next, I don’t know if you guys are kidding or not; but, if y’all are ever considering the possibility of running through 400 to 500 rounds I am kind of flabbergasted.
I've seen you bird hunt, you may need 600 roundsSo, I don't need 600 rounds of ammo![]()
