I was wondering if the locking systems on these two guns are much different? I am in the market for an O/U for shooting sporting clays. What I really am concerned w/, is the Onyx Pro wearing out from the constant breaking open of the barrels. I really like the way the Onyx feels & shoulders for me. I can pick one up the Pro @ Bass Pro Shops or even at a gun shop, all day long. But will have to order the 686E Sporting. If the Onyx Pro is basically made the same way, I would just as soon pick one up. Any replies are appreciated. Thanx.

Quack..Quack...BOOM!

Just wanted to comment, that I contacted Beretta on this question. They replied that both guns were built w/ the same receiver/action.
