I have the oppertunity to trade for a new Mossberg 590 with all the bells and whistles including a speed feed stock. As a dedicated 870 man, what does the Mossberg have to offer that the 870 doesn't besides the ambi safty and twin extractors? Do I really need this thing or do I just want a new toy...Hmm.

I'm NOT trading away my 870! What tweaked my interest in the Mossberg is the fact that the shell lifter is totally out of the way. I shoot in the pump division in tactical matches sometimes. As many of you know, it's not about how fast you can shoot the shotgun, but how fast you can keep it fed. Anything to gain an edge right?
