i gotta figure out how to post a pic of my springer on here,she thinks shes a great hunter,and thats all that matters..but both her and i ,are at the bottom of the hunting rung,me for sure..she just dont know it,is the beauty of bein a dog..

speakin of beauty..both her and i are on the top of that rung..we got the looks but not the brains..

a desert hunting dog has to have it the hardest,damn cactus..we were out 6 hours yesterday for gambel quail or winged lightning as i call em..on the most hilly,rugged,rocky,cactus covered desert weve been on yet..saw 2 coveys of 2 dozen,she flushed,but i was going up loose rock,going down it,too hard to shoulder a gun and worry bout slippin, fallin,to get a shot off..after that i had it shouldered the whole time, felt like a navy seal after al quida, we just took it slower..she flushed a covey of 2 dozen,20 yards up,i fired all 3 shots from the new remington versa max 12 gauge into em,never even felt the kick,compared to my over under..4 dropped,she brought em back..she had her 4 boots and her chest-belly skid protector on,still spent an hour w the tweezers pullin thorns..time to treat her to a gravy run at the pheasant ranch
