Here in Maryland this is what our DNR says about hunter orange.
The following persons are exempt from the requirement of wearing fluorescent orange (but are still encouraged to wear it when hunting):
Property owners who hunt any wildlife on their own property with or without a hunting license;
A person who hunts deer with a bow during the season restricted to hunting with a bow;
A person who hunts or accompanies, aids or assists another person hunting the following species: brant, coot, ducks, geese, mergansers, rails, snipe, furbearing mammals, crow, dove or wild turkey;
A person who hunts game birds or mammals during open season using falcons, hawks or owls.
I have always worn camo whem Dove hunting. And I don't wear a vest I got a hunting bucket that has a cooler in it which is nice as it can still be in the 90's here on opening day. Don't want any spoilage so I pack it with ice and put my dove in a big zip lock baggy and throw them into the cooler.
