Nope not going to email you the answer, we don't charge for ID's and Values , we make money to support this forum off of HITS and BANNER CLICKS, besides, there's a forum for questions like this.

Eastern Arms Co. was a trade name owned by Sears, Roebuck, & Co., Chicago, IL , your shotgun was probably made by Iver Johnson

what a dick of a moderator
To Yep: MarlandS is a very good moderator. Please watch what you say on these forums so younger people read these. This is a very friendly forum and lets keep it that way.
To Yep--

Marland S. is one of the kindest and most generous of moderators with his time and his absolutely encyclopedic knowledge of old shotguns. He is busy with a farming operation (harvest time just now), yet he takes the time to answer these ID questions even when they are posted in the wrong forum. Read down the index a bit and you'll see a nice, clear title: "Gun ID and Value." Personally, I think Shotgunworld is amazingly lucky to have Marland S., while you, sir, have not shown that you're willing to contribute anything except some sarcasm and foul language. Kindly reconsider.

Hello Yep,
It's just that it's bad etiquette to post an email for an answer rather than taking the time to check back on the forum. You might be new to forums and didn't understand this. MarlandS has answered over 1,300 questions like yours...out of kindness.
He also answered your question and a 'Thanks' would have been more appropriate. A sincere apology and all will be forgiven.

I have recently found an Eastern Arms Company single shot 12-gauge shotgun in my great aunts old home (she has past away). There are no serial numbers on it. The only # stamped on the shotgun is a (21). I am interested in finding out possible dates but I am having trouble doing so. If anyone could help me out I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

just for fun I also found an old "magic elixer" bootle that I have had dated back to 1897.
Welcome Truley,
Please post your question in our Gun ID & Value forum.
Hope you understand.
regards,
Jay Gentry
