I just got my waders, my ammo and my federal and state duck stamps tonight! I have my reservation at San Jacinto for this Saturday in SoCal. I am excited to say the least!!!

Good luck to you. I hope you are bringing someone along that has some experience. It can be pretty complicated at times, probably a little more than it should be.

I've got a Ringer, my girlfriends brother works at San Jacinto and has hunted it many times. He got all the decoys and other toys.

You are lucky. I still remember my first hunt for quail, pheasants, ducks, geese, snipe, turkey, rabbits, doves and woodcock. Any first hunt for a new species is fun. Duck hunting is unlike any other hunting I do and I love it. If you have a dog it will add even more to the hunt.

Well despite all that went wrong, the best being about 10 steps into the pond I fall in the mud and my waders rip! SO 6 am I have freezing cold water dumped in my leg.

But damnt I still went to hunt and got me a Gadwell!!
