RangerG, I know this thread is old and I hope you are still on here but thank you so much for your post regarding the forend splitting. I think you just explained why the Franchi Aristocrat I bought years ago (used) never came with a forend. And now in the process of trying to identify this shotgun and locate a forend, I found your comments.
justjoeyinvt, do you happen to have any photos of the pin mod you did to fix your forend? I want to do the same thing after I order a new forend.
