I own a 28" 612...I love it..feeds anything I throw at it..I put about 100 -200 rounds a week thru it (trap) without a single hiccup. I saw (read) someone call it barely getting by...that's NUTS! This is a well made well balanced auto that has received nothing but rave reviews. I have no doubt the 912 will be a wise purchase.
ah a reply =) Well I ordered it yesterday, so in 7 to 10 days I'll report back with how it performs. I could have waited a few months and saved up for the benelli SBE, but I'm hoping the 912 will do the job. I shall return

I LOOKED AT THE 912 TODAY FOR THE FRIST TIME. THE PRICE WAS VERY REASONABLE AND I LIKED THE GUN. I,VE BEEN HUNTING FOR ABOUT THREE YEARS WITH A 870, I'M LOOKING FOR A GOOD SEMI-AUTO. I DON'T MIND CLEANING A GUN, (I'M A CLEAN FREAK) BUT I DON'T LIKE THE RECOIL. ANYWAY I'M JUST TRYING TO FIND OUT MORE ABOUT THE FRANCHI 912. I MOSTLY HUNT DOVE, QUAIL, DUCK AND GEESE, AND SKEET FOR PRACTICE. HOPE TO ONE DAY ADD TURKEY HUNTING TO MY LIST.
I purchased a Franchi 612 about 2 weeks ago and love the way the gun handles and shoots. It is the easest gun that I have seen to take down and clean including my brothers Benelli super black eagle. This is one great designed gun. I have the gas piston set for light loads and it will digest 1-1/4 to 7/8 oz loads every time. It comes with shims to adjust cast and drop. I just can't say enough about this gun. You will love the 912 if it is anything like the 612

It has been nearly one year and we are still waiting on Jubeii's comments/evaluation of his new gun. Is Jubeii still around?

:x Have had a 912 a couple of years and it hangs-up on 3 1/2. thought it would get better after it broke-in but was wrong. it also will try to double-feed on occasion. will probably sell the gun and not buy a Franchi again.

I purchased a 912 a couple of weeks ago and have shot over a half case of steel thru it in some pretty tough conditions...dropped it in a slough .... I am very impressed with this shotgun....I have owned a couple of browning golds and several benelli's and I like this shotgun better than any of them... my 912 has only hiccupped twice and it was with the cheapest remington steel ....and it was an easy clear....just pull the bolt.... I would highly recommend this shotgun ...my luck since I praised it it will jam every time next season....
3 of them in my family....brother.....uncle.....and nephew.....everyone loves them!

Same here. I think mine might even see some time deer hunting next year as well. I've shot everything from 1 1/8oz 2 3/4" to 2 oz 3 1/2" with no problems. It even saw some fast paced action this year duck hunting in 15* weather. That's cold for NC, by the way. My only problem that day was making sure the gun wasn't empty when I pulled the trigger.
That 912 is one good looking gun. I have been toying with trading my 391 Beretta on one. All I've heard was good things about that model. The poor service report is a little concerning however by Mr. Fud.
Upland, the 912 is a very good gun. I've never had gun at Franchi's service center. I have talked to them a few times on the phone and they were very nice. Franchi and Benelli have the same service center. You don't usally here too many good things about anyone's service.
The 912 is a bigger feeling gun similar to the Beretta Xtrema. They are even similar in design and very easy to maintain.
