Here is my brand new "Turkeyslayer":

It's a Baikal MP-153 synthetic with a 24" barrel. Came with 4 chokes (including X-Full) and sling swivels.

Date of production is November 2005.

I found a few changes compared to my older (2004 production) MP-153 synthetic with 28" barrel:

1. The blueing on the barrel is less glossy (It looks better and will not reflect light).

2. The cartridge elevator is different (there is hole in it).

3. The bolt handle is broader (more comfortable).

4. The packaging box is a great looking, full colour one (I will keep it).

I didn't find any other changes.

The gun is lighter (because of the shorter barrel).

The action/mechanism/design of the MP-153 is excellent. No modifications/improvements are required.

My only wish is to have stronger blueing on the barrel and receiver.

Looks good.

I like the boader bolt handle and the sling mount on the magazine end cap. I'd like to update both of my MP153's. I'm currently surfing for a vendor who would carry these factory or even aftermarket parts. No luck yet. Any leads would be helpful. Thanks.
