Well I've had my G2 for about 2500 shells now and I figured I'd throw up some pics since this model doesn't get much publicity or fanfare.
Once I got ahold of a gun that I thought I would keep for a while (hopefully  ) I decided to get a sliding comb recoil reducer. I was already a believer having used a Gracoil for about a year on my old gun. The Gracoil is a fantastic product but I thought it could be even better with a sliding comb.
I was all set to get either a Soft Touch or a Bump Buster, but after reading some glowing reviews about the various air cushion stocks I became more intrigued in them. I also called Ken Rucker of Speed Bump and he informed me that he could not do a sliding comb on my gun (Beretta DT10 sporting) because there is not enough wood above the stock bolt hole. So that pretty much narrowed it down to the Soft Touch and G2 and I liked the fact that I could control the pressure in the stock simply by air pressure with the G2.
I gave Mike Gregory, the owner of G2 a call and I was impressed by his knowledge and the time he took explaining everything. It became apparent that he's thought of everything with this product and that he's definitely a true heavyweight in the custom stock arena just like Rucker or Hissem or Bob James.
I had him make a custom parallel soft comb along with the factory sloped comb so that I could interchange if need be. I also ordered the cast adjustment option and the adjustable buttplate option.
With the soft comb installed and about 110 psi in the reducer, I'm amazed at how soft it feels to shoot. It took about 2 cases of shells to get used to, but now I don't even notice the movement of the gun under recoil. I never felt that I was recoil sensitive but going from this gun to others without recoil reduction is DEFINITELY noticeable.
Mike is a super-nice guy and the workmanship of his product is absolutely first class. If anyone is looking for higher-end recoil reduction don't forget about this product!
I'm a big believer that ANY high volume shooter should invest in some type of recoil reduction, and in my humble opinion this is one of the best. Hopefully this helps anyone who is trying to decide which one to buy.
Here are some pics of my stock:
The actual air unit unscrewed from the gun's buttplate:
Comb height is adjusted by first unlocking a single screw at the back of the comb (all adjustments to EVERYTHING in the system are done with a single hex wrench size)
After the comb is unlocked the height is adjusted by a single screw exposed in the top of the comb:
The pad plate is pretty standard and moves all directions and twists. Also notice the bevel on the stock for the cast adjustment and the plug in the pad. Taking off that plug exposes the standard air fitting (just like on your car's tires) to add or remove air pressure.
And this is the tool that Mike supplies to adjust pressure. You can also use any standard hand pump or air compressor:
