IF GEORGE DIGWEED SHOOTS PASS THROUGH WHY DON,T WE ALL SHOOT
THIS WAY?
THIS WAY?
No, I haven't seen Digweed in person. You have made the stood behind him post a few times. What have you seen?sera said:Have you ever stood behind him and watched him shoot?
Most people who have learned to shooting sporting clays know how to shoot "pass through" or what more people call it = "swing through."

I have seen him shoot a R to L long target he was not happy with first time around with what can only be described as see, wait, point and shoot as it begins to fall, in other words just like the rest of us, and yes he did get them all second time round. I have also watched him shoot a very long slightly incoming looper with what looked no different to how anyone else would have tackled it; either maintained lead or pull away, he missed at least one on that stand and only broke one well enough to be happy with himself.
Spot on all the way. MMS sells books but doesn`t break every target.salopian said:I think that if we were to analyse anyone's shooting style and method of a successful shooter we would find a mix of ALL the methods.
With each individual 'topgun' having a standard style that they were taught and then embellished it.
For instance if you watch John Bodwell's MMS video and then watch John shoot he doesn't use MMS for every shot. Because he can't.
Yes I would agree that George possibly does shoot swing through a lot. But for Chondelles, Battues and incoming dropping loopers I would think he would use Straight Line Interception.
George hits most target presentations because he trains on them and the various methods to do so.
That's what makes him a well rounded shooter![]()
Not the steaks & Guinness.
Just watched Big George shoot 5 Stand at the Triple Classic. He definitely uses more than the swing through method of shooting. Bottom line he shot a 98. Top score for 5 Stand, so far, and it' was a pleasure watching him. He obviously has great natural ability and much experience and thousands of practice targets. A true champion and deserving of all of his titles and awards. He is one heck of a shooter!!yansica1 said:Spot on all the way. Hi,megalops said:What size shot does George favor? I think I read somewhere that he uses one ounce of British 7.5's (equivalent to U.S. 8's) for all targets at all distances.
Jon Kruger and Brandon Powell, to name two. But, no............... that cannot be, they're not British, are they?hnachaj said:George has the same "situation awarness" that fighter pilots have. They can tell where the oponnent will be when they fire the canon (not a missile) in dogfights. Just watch a fiew interviews on History with pas and present fighter pilots. George knows where to put the barrel to hit the probable future location of the clay. WHO else can shoot a Make-A-Break from the hip and hit ALL targets!
