IF GEORGE DIGWEED SHOOTS PASS THROUGH WHY DON,T WE ALL SHOOT
THIS WAY?

Have you ever stood behind him and watched him shoot?

Most people who have learned to shooting sporting clays know how to shoot "pass through" or what more people call it = "swing through."

George has the same "situation awarness" that fighter pilots have. They can tell where the oponnent will be when they fire the canon (not a missile) in dogfights. Just watch a fiew interviews on History with pas and present fighter pilots. George knows where to put the barrel to hit the probable future location of the clay. WHO else can shoot a Make-A-Break from the hip and hit ALL targets!

George received his Member of the British Empire Medal for services to charities, including cancer charities. What is not common knowledge is George is now fitted with a CT Scanner. A clay target scanner, he inputs the target flight and speed, refers to previous memory pictures from his vast target picture bank inputs the information assesses the situation and how many he needs to hit to win, calls 'Pull' and when it looks right triggers the shot.
Remember we shoot for sport and leisure, George shoots for a living, it does help your focus.

Digweed is a pure and simple SHOOTER period end of story.
To him shooting is like me drinking water just like a great virtuoso playing his instrument.
It is part of his being.
One can try to emulate him but cannot shoot like him.
If you can do what he says on his DVD and do it consistently then go for it why not.

No, I haven't seen Digweed in person. You have made the stood behind him post a few times. What have you seen?

If in Calgary, there are plenty of sporting ranges in the area! The meat is not bad either!

His MBE is for his MANY charitable events besides his great shooting.

I just spent several hours with GD, Kate and four other blokes at HOOTERS. We did have a great time specialy with Kevin's so called 21st birthday and him riding a fake horse up and down the hall between VERY young girls while claiming to be only 21 (to the factor of 3)! Tomorrow, he concentrates on the job. At 7 pm, we party at Ray's grill not discussing anything of the day or of tomorrow!

Few would have stood directly behind him as he shoots but I have watched him shoot on many many occasions and whilst he does appear to come from behind on most targets he does not shoot swing through ALL the time.

I have seen him shoot a R to L long target he was not happy with first time around with what can only be described as see, wait, point and shoot as it begins to fall, in other words just like the rest of us, and yes he did get them all second time round. I have also watched him shoot a very long slightly incoming looper with what looked no different to how anyone else would have tackled it; either maintained lead or pull away, he missed at least one on that stand and only broke one well enough to be happy with himself.

I think that if we were to analyse anyone's shooting style and method of a successful shooter we would find a mix of ALL the methods.
With each individual 'topgun' having a standard style that they were taught and then embellished it.
For instance if you watch John Bodwell's MMS video and then watch John shoot he doesn't use MMS for every shot. Because he can't.
Yes I would agree that George possibly does shoot swing through a lot. But for Chondelles, Battues and incoming dropping loopers I would think he would use Straight Line Interception.
George hits most target presentations because he trains on them and the various methods to do so.
That's what makes him a well rounded shooter :) :) Not the steaks & Guinness.

Spot on all the way. MMS sells books but doesn`t break every target.

Just watched Big George shoot 5 Stand at the Triple Classic. He definitely uses more than the swing through method of shooting. Bottom line he shot a 98. Top score for 5 Stand, so far, and it' was a pleasure watching him. He obviously has great natural ability and much experience and thousands of practice targets. A true champion and deserving of all of his titles and awards. He is one heck of a shooter!!

There is no doubt about it George is an exceptional shooter and I would like to point out that he uses Gamebore/ Kent cartridges, for over twenty years he has been faithful to the brand and his initial Kent Champions cartridges were a relatively slow cartridge that were not all that popular here in the UK.
Kudos to George, a very good ambassador for Kent /Gamebore and a true Champion.
Interestingly although changing guns on a number of occasions he has never changed his cartridges.
