Approx 30yrs old, fired 10rds only.
Described by seller thusly;

Browning auto-5 light twelve, special steel, ribbed, gold engraved, excellent.

Asking $800

Is it a steal or a meh?

Well, the price is great but it is not gold engraved from what I see. The "gold engraving" seems to be gold rubbing in the standard engraving similar to the way that Browning Double Autos were decorated. In the case of the DA, this rubbing usually rubbed off with a little use.

Still, if the gun approaches 100% condition, it is a very good price. Especially if it has the Invector choke system.

couple more from the seller;

Text on the barrel light 12 gauge special steel 12 ga shell 2 3/4 *---28 *
measured barrel from end of barrel receiver chamber 28"

Date/model code PZ211 so 1981 and Light 12 verified. Also you can see it is vent rib too.

Cannot find any gold rubbed or inlaid or anodized guns on gunbroker or auctionarms to check value. 1981 puts it two years prior to invector chokes intro, seller for got choke info in 2nd email. Possibly Full choke 28" from above text from email.

Thanks for the input A5guy, it is appreciated.
