I am installing a 520S pad adjuster. How can i enlarge the stock hole from 7/8 to 11/8 without some sort of pilot? Anyone done this? A gunsmith is not an option at this time.

You really should invest in Graco's drill fixture that is designed for just such installations. If not, I suppose that you could get by with a router (very carefully).

Might be more work than the router option - but you could pilot drill a 7/8" dowel (or whatever dowel you can find that has a good fit in the existing hole), not much longer than you need to drill the 1-1/8" dia. hole, glue it into the stock, and then drill the 1-1/8" hole with a quality bit like a forstner bit. best to do with a good wood vice and a drill press.

Email me and I'll explain how to do it. I wouldn't do it with a router; a router can do some some damage in a hurry.
