You, Sir, are an idiot. Actions like this give anti gun and anti hunting groups a boost in the public eye.

:x I do not like paint ball shooting . That goes for targets, people, animals, anything. Paint ball stinks. There used to be a range up the road from me and the neighbors called planning and zoning and got it took out. They were in violation of the existing codes. Looked like a bunch of military wannabees trying to impress each other with their camoflage suits and semi-auto paint guns. What a waste of time and money. Besides, hunting is a serious matter and not a game to be played by amatures. That is my opinion and it is not binding on any one else.

I don't care how you look at it, but hunting is waaaay more serious than paintball. One is a game, one is guns. If you take paintball as serious as you hunt than I don't want to hunt anywhere near you.

Calling someone ignorant is about the biggest insult there is. He seems to have some experiences that led him to his opinion, and even without them he is entitled to it. He even made the point of saying that was his opinion. Kiss and make up.

I think you will find that most hunters do not think thats a good idea, I'd stop that.If every body did that hunting would be banned. What happened to being ethical? :(

I thought about doing this once, till I got hit with a paintball. Damn things leave a bruise. Secondly, you are removing one of the primary defense mechanisms that the fawns have by adding scents and colors.

There is no way that I would disrespect and deface a game animal in that way.

I think that if it's found out that you are the one painting the deer you could face some rather serious infractions like those already listed.

Are you sure he was talking to you? He may have been referring to me, but I can take it.

You an arse for doing this, and there is no point in being nice as common sense ( should be called uncomon sense these days) would tell anyone with a fraction of a brain that this is unethical, and stressfull to the animal. The idea of hunting is not to target practice as you can do that at the range. How would you like it if I took a paint ball gun out and shot your wife and newborn child??? Would you just continue on with your daily routine as normal? Well neither do the deer !!!!

:D Exactly what "FACTS" would you have me learn? Is not my opinion just as important as yours? You refer to me as ignorant, so maybe you are the one who should get their facts straight. I have a right to not like something and I have a right to express my opinion. If you can't accept that, then you may kiss where the sun don't shine.

Whoa, too much mud slinging :!:
The original poster probably didn't think this through and after reading some of the reasons why it's a bad idea, he may have changed his mind. That's ok, we've all done things without thinking them through, for instance my first marriage. There was also that time I bought a Chevy Celebrity...at night..without test driving it. I've got 100's of examples, but you get the idea.

We should see ourselves as mentors and guide others rather than resort to name calling.

thanks,
Jay Gentry
