which is it for you? I grew up with the term Ruffed Grouse.... however it seems like different places attract different names. Most people where I live now call them pa'tridge. I just feel like when I refer to them as a pa'tridge people don't really grasp the concept of hunting them.....(and automatically think of one in a pear tree) Anyways there is nothing better than waking up on a crisp clear fall morning and hitting the trails in search of the elusive forest bird.
