I just bought me a new toy(mule 610), and I'm looking for vertical racks to put on it. I am wondering if anyone out there is using anything other than the rugged gear racks. I don't really trust the velcro on the rugged gear racks. I have already had one gun get bounced out onto gravel when the velcro on one came loose. Since I will most likely be mounting my gun rack in the bed where I can't keep an eye on the guns, I'm looking for other suggestions.

Any suggestions / pictures would be greatly appreciated.

i've got the rugged gear in my clubcar and have had no trouble with the velcro going on 3-4 years now. i have seen the scabbard tech's on a few carts and would have to look at them pretty seriously next time.

I have had about every gun mount known to the free world, and have not been happy with any of them. The rubber coated mounts wear the bluing on my gun. The scabbards have a mounting problem, in finding a good place to mount them on your cart. I have a golf cart, and ended up mounting them on the back. When mounted inside the cart, they were too high off the floor, and I could not get a 391 with 28 inch barrels to fit inside the roof line. Before you buy any, carefully measure where it is going to go, and how much will stick out above or to the side of your cart.
My latest gun mount is home made and is similar to the one at http://www.no-fly-zone.com/shoppingcart ... _code=1202 I think it is the best answer to a gun mount. Of course, measure the length of your gun with chokes installed to make sure there is enough room inside the roof of your cart to be able to use this. :lol:
