Was defective from the day I got it. The bottom barrel never fired. Had all the parts replaced by a certified Browning service center. As soon as it came back it hit the for-sale boards.
That was my understanding as well.lossking said:I was wondering why he bought a 20ga Special Sporting 32" when he already had a 20ga CXS 32" that he likes very much, especially when the two guns are so similar. Guess he bought the CXS after dumping the defective Special Sporting...DKW1 said:I was just clarifying the gun he had trouble with was not the CXS he really likes. Yes they are similar, but some random guns turnout to be lemons. A friend had a 525 Sporter, a very popular and durable shotgun. Had top barrel firing pin problems from the start that plagued him for years. After numerous repairs over a period of many years, they had him send it back and gave him a new 725 in December. In my part of the world, Browning treating a customer like that borders on the miraculous. All gun makers can kick out a lemon or two.
As a side note. I have a CXS 20. And I have never been happier with a shotgun that came that cheap. And I had a lot more problems with my MX8 at 5 times the price.
