I have a Fabarm/H&K Red Lion with 24" barrel which I use for grouse. I've had it several years, with no major complaints. It seems to fit me, has a little cast-off in the stock. It's cycled everything I tried, except when I got down to 7/8 ounce loads it would sometimes not completely cycle. It throws as good a pattern as I've ever seen.
I also have a Benelli M1 super 90 and except for having no cast to the stock, and a longer barrel, I can say all the same things about it. If I had to choose one or the other, there's no question it would be the Benelli.
I don't think I'd pay retail for the H&K though. I paid about $425 new in the box, with 4 choke tubes and hard case, and for that price it's a good deal, but the Benelli is the better gun.
