Have an H&R single shot at home, but would like more information. The barrel is marked H&R 12 ga choke (not full choke,etc- just "choke"). I am interested in what model it is since none is stamped on it. There is a serial # (although I did not write it down). It has an external hammer and a 36" barrel. Part of my interest in finding out the model is that I have no butt stock or fore end and would like to acquire a set.

Thanks in advance for your help.

If it has just 12 choke on top of the chamber, that means it's an older model. Look on the the bottom of the trigger guard for a serial number. If you find one it was made prior to 1945.
Stocks are available from Boyd's or Gun Parts Corp.
They were made with 36" barrels.
