I have a Beretta 692 Sporting that I've had for about 14 months. In that time I've shot approximately 1500-2000 rounds through it. I love the gun but it seems to really fight recocking the hammers. If I move the lever with already cocked hammers the gun will break and fall open. If the hammers need to be cocked the barrels won't budge without me pushing on them through the whole motion. My question is could I still be in the break in process? My father bought a 686 a month before I got my 692 and his has been broken in for a long time. I've got myself fairly convinced I need to take the stock off and clean everything up and possibly look at the hammer springs. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
