well i've been dove hunting all my life and it's time for a new gun... i have an old mossberg 500 but have trouble shooting it because i have short arms... i'm looking for a semi-automatic with a wood stock (because i hate synthetic stocks) but since i'm a college student i can only spend about $600... my dad has a remington wingmaster that he's had for 30 years and he says its never givin him any problems and thats what he want me to buy... i really like the winchester SX3 but it's a little out of my price range... please give suggestions

Look for a Remington 1100. You should be able to find a good gun with decent wood in your price range.
If you don't like the synthetic and thats your budget, i'de go with what your father suggested.

Listen to your father.
If he doesn't like the mossberg 500 because of having short arms, he probably isn't going to like the Wingmaster either. The guns are pretty similar. Of course the Wingmaster is a much better gun.
Mossberg 930, walnut stock & Forearm, extremely reliable.

It will handle the lightest 2-3/4" shells you can throw at it....
