Just picked up a new 391 Extrema2 in the camo. I walk a ton when I hunt and I'd like to put on a gun sling. The stock has a mount but the forend does not. So far, the only swivel cap I've found is black at around $25.

Options:
1. take it somewhere and tap the cap
2. buy the black one a paint it
3. Anything else?

I purchased an Extrema II a couple of months ago and it came with a sling attachment that fit between the forearm and the locking cap.

Good point. Yes, I have that attachment as well. The attachment is not a swivel bracket but a loop. I'd like a real swivel for the front of the gun.

Get a swivel stud with the machine screw threads. Dill a hole in the center of you cap slightly larger than the thread portion of the stud. Put the thread end thru the hole and tighten down the nut and back off 1/8 of a turn. It should be just loose enough to twist. You may need to put some Lock Tite on the threads and or trim the stud down (shorter).
