My brother has a non-vent rib Browning A5 Sweet Sixteen. On the barrel it is stamped made in St. Louis and the serial number on the underside of the gun is: OS44310. I've looked on Browning's web site and tried to match the S/N up with the table provided there but nothing matches. Do we have the correct S/N or is it located somewhere else? If that is a valid S/N I would appreciate some help determining the date it was made.

Thanks and kind regards,

According to the Blue Book the OS means that the gun was made in 1960.
