You can't beat the Liberty safe that Lowes sells for $397. It's made in the US and is really pretty nice. I have one.

If you're a vet you can get a break on it.

The one I have has a 5 year warranty but the lowes site has the old specs from when they were made in China and only had a 1 year warranty.

Lowes has these for under $1100. They might not be on display, but ask them what they can order in. They have about 15 to choose from. Military discount got me mine (below) for under $1000. I don't have 1/2 the amount of guns this will hold, but storing ammo and an extra fire safe box for papers and what not, is what I was looking for. I did a bit of research and followed the "buy bigger than what you need" rule. I just have to figure out how to get the SOB in my basement!

BTW, Lowes delivered it by truck and forklifted it into my garage for $75. Not bad.

I also looked at http://www.patriotsafe.com You can make up your own mind on those. They do have a good fire rating, so they say themselves.
