I recently purchased a Hopkins & Allen Arms Co Hammerless Double Barrel 12 gauge shotgun. I have been trying to find whatever information about it that I can unfortunately theres not a whole lot. Any info would be great. I am looking for what year it is, the serial number is 10483 and up where the patent date( can't read it) there's a number 2. Thanks

I don't know of any Hopkins & Allen records surviving, nor of any historian constructing a serial number chronology. The closest you are going to get is that Hopkins & Allen made this model with sideplates during the second decade of the 20th centruy --
