This is such a great site...no snobbery or serious insulting going on. :\ I was wondering what percentage of us shoot the different clay target games for fun and how many are really serious about our scores. I think I already know the answer based on the types of personalities who post here most often, but I may be wrong. I know that you can both be a serious shooter and also enjoy the games at the same time, but just pick whichever you think best fits you.I only shoot for fun-scores mean nothing to me.

Other (always have "other" as an option)I shoot skeet for fun. While I'm having fun I shoot in registered shoots. If it ever becomes shooting for scores I'll quit shooting.

I seem to fall somewhere in between the choices. I shoot for fun. That is the most important motivation, otherwise why do it? But even if I'm only competing against myself, I pay attention to my scores and I try to improve a little each time I shoot. Am I fanatical about scores? No. Do I care about scores? Yes, as a means of determining how well I'm doing. Dang, this is harder to explain than it thought....

I hate those guys at the range who are all about etiquette and rules. I went to the range today and hated it. I had a lot more fun just fooling around in my friends field. I kept score, and i will continue to keep score in the future, but the day i take it seriously i will quit. Its all in fun in my opinion. Kinda like golf. Once again, Im a rookie though......

I shoot for fun, but also for improvement. I keep score in order to know how "much" improvement I'm making, or not making. I don't go for show. I'm a Texas quail hunter who likes to improve his odds, plus I find it to be almost as good as the real thing.Have fun this weekend.8)

I don't give a crap about score,I shoot in the summer so I am a more proficiant game killing machine in the fall.not that the guy's that shoot 25out of 25 every time he step into the booth dosen't impress me,I know it takes several thousands of hours of practice and hundreds of thousands(if not millions)of rounds to get to this piont, but it's just shooting guns to me,has allways been about filling the cold case, not the trophey case.
