I just want to know when this shotgun was made and possibly how much it's worth.

It is hammerless

Here are some of the engravings:

Under trigger; "W. J. Terry"
Both sides of breech; "L. C. Smith"
Under barrel; "Crown Steel Co." and "1336 2e"
Top of Barrel near breech; "Hunter Arms Co. Fulton. N.Y."
Both sides of breech; Engraving of a Quail
Underneath Barrel on Receiver; "PAT. MCH. 29. 83", "July, 13, 86", "Oct. 5, 86", "1336"

I'm not sure but I beleive it has a mahogany stock.

If there is anything else you need to know in order to help me out with this let me know. Thanks!

Your gun was made in 1898, Value will depend on whether it's a 10, 12 or 16 bore and most important of all is the condition an originallity. It could be worth anywhere between $200 and $1500. Cheers .. Bushrod
