Bring your blinged out tactical shotguns to NCRR on 19 November for a very fun shotgun match.

http://ncrr.net/IDPA/Events/Shotgun/match.htm http://www.ncrr.net/IDPA/PhotoAlbums/PhotoAlbums.htm
Bring at least 150 rounds of 7 1/2 or smaller shot. Hope to see some new faces there. I try to shoot this match every time they have it. By the way this is the last one this year. Unless I can talk them into an early spring match.

If nothing else this a great chance to meet other shotgunners and hang out plus a healthy dose of competition.

The match was great we had a riding stage where you took a 93 second ride in a trailer with a chair being pulled by a lawn tractor and had to shoot 44 targets most people could not come close I know it sounds easy and I thought I'd clean up on that stage but it was hard and I have a Saiga with plenty of mags. So you can imagen how hard it was for guys with flintlocks Ooops I meant to say old fashon tube fed tactical shotguns. The next match is scheduled for May but I'm going to try to set something up in March. Hope to see you then.

TEAM SAIGA

If you go to the link I posted you could send the match director an e-mail and ask him to set one up.

Also we have several people who come out from Richmond and Chapel Hill NC for these matches it is worth the ride. When you come bring at least 150 rounds you go through every bit of it. The round count on the web site is wrong they really go all out to set up challenging and fun stages. My son loves these matches as much as I do and he is 14 years old.

Okay I'll post the next match. I shoot the crap out of my tactical shotgun, no sence in having a race car if you never take it to the track. The match is not exactly tactical but it is fun and if you plan to use your shotgun as an HD weapon you might want to find a similar match in your area to really put it through its paces. I would hate to find out something does not work when I really need it.

other than the links listed, is there any source of information ie. stations, scenarios etc. that would someone like me set up a shoot like yours in the new england area? FINALLY something that concentrates on the SG besides one round of SG in cowboy shooting or as part of a three gun event... thanks

Weeg,
My son is right you will be sign up for a 2 hour block at which time you'll do all your shooting and your score will be recorded. After the match I need to get home for my wife's 40th birthday party. I figure I can make it if all goes well.

Uh, oh... I'd stock up on food to put in the dog-house if I were you. You know, just in case.
