Info on Higgins Model 583.12?

Been playing with my Yugo M48 and my Mosin M44 and was amazed at how ingenius the bolts were on these guns, and how easy they are to work on. So I thought I'd dig out my J.C.Higgins 20gauge and try to give it the same treatment on the bolt, but it appears impenetrable to me at this point.

All I can manage to do to it is rotate the plunger looking thing at the rear  (it drops when fired). I assume the thing's got to come apart somehow, am I wrong about this? Anyone got any info on how, or anything else about the gun, for that matter?

Thanks!

Thank you for the post! welcome aboard.
Have you been able to remove the bolt from the receiver?
I will watch for your postings and try to help.

Yes, there is a screw on the receiver that holds the bolt in, after I get it out, I see nothing that can be done with it.

Well I hate when this happens!
I found break down on 583.11.
Any how have you tried sqeezing the trigger and pulling the bolt out at the same time?
Not sure why you're asking that. I have the bolt out. It's just the screw that has to be removed. Then the bolt is out.

I want to take the bolt apart, but I don't see anything that can be done to it, even though it has moving parts (at least 3 that I can identify).
Have I somehow offended you or something? You acted like you were going to help me with this, then when I answer your questions about it, you stop replying, then you move my post. If you'd let me know I'm not wanted here, I could stop checking for replies and go somewhere else... :?
