Invector is a type of choke used on the Browning (& equivalent) guns. Each manufacturer has their own type of choke; Remington has Remchokes, Beretta has Mobilchoke & Optima, Browning has Invector and Invector+. Everybody is different. The same type of choke is interchangeable between guns, but you can't interchange different styles. For example, an Invector+ choke will fit in a Citori or a Gold fitted for Invector+, but you can't use Invector chokes in the same gun. Of course, Optima chokes are not interchangeable with Invector+ chokes either.

The Invector choke is used in Browning, Winchester, and Mossberg shotguns that have the standard .729 bore. The overbore barrels (.740) use the longer Invector+ chokes.
