I need help on this one. I have a chance to purchase a Ithaca NID 16 gauge Grade II with 28" bbl, choked M/IC and 2.75" chambers. The gun is in very good original condition. I'm guessing the bluing on the barrels is around 90% or better with no pitting or scratching, bores are clean and bright. The receiver retains approx. 70% of the original color with the engraving clear and clean. Wood shows some wear with good oil finish and the checkering is sharp and clear on both stock and splinter fore end. It closes and locks like a vault. I had a local gunsmith examine the gun and he believes it to be late 20's to early 30.s mfg. and was impressed with the condition and said it was well taken care of.

The fellow is asking $3200. I'm thinking this is steep but WOW is it a nice gun! Any help is appreciated.
