I'm looking for the information on the J.P.Sauer & Sohn & Suhl 16 ga SxS hummerless gun, #291583, bbls marked with Krupp-Laufstahl and a lot of other marks.

Respectfully

Don't know what kind of info you want, but Sauer never made a bad gun. Ofcourse, any mfg. can make a isolated lemon.

I believe that your serial number places the date of manufacture sometime in the late 1920's. If so, there should be a date code on the barrel flats. Look for a 3 or 4 digit number indicating the month and year of manufacture, probably with a slash between the month and the year. For example, 3/28 idicates March 1928. The slash was used until the 1930's. After that there were just the numbers (1054 = October 1954)

Thank you, I got it. It stamped 11/29. Interesting, how much it may cost in the fair condition with good bore and tight wood to metal fit, but scratched here and there wood?

Does it have VL&D New York as the importer on the barrels or rib?
