My Ant has a J Stevens Arms Co. .410 Springfield.
No model number on it.
Proof tested .410 bore, 3" chamber on left side of barrel.
Selected forged steel on the right side.
Hand stamp ser# 2231 underside of barrel and in carrier.

History and valve if possible? :?:

As close as I can get it is made between 1920 and 1940.

It's probably one of their "utility" models and worth about $35 - $50.

If you ever want to sell it for $50.00 make me the first to know. I personally have never seen a Stevens double barrel 410 in decent shape for less than $300.00 to $400.00.[/i]
Where did he say double????

left side of barrel.

My father has a similar gun as previously listed:
Was curious if it's worth the same:
Everything I could get off the item:

Proof tested 410 gauge
Stevens The fully gauranteed single gun
J Stevens Arms Co.
Chicopee falls Mass USA
The only number I see is 295.

Thank you,

Same gun = same value. But since both of these are 410's, I'd say they would probably bring a little more. Maybe $50-$100 in "average used" condition.
I have a j. stevens dbl barrel .410 the only # I see is 5100.Can you give me an idea as to date of manufacture and value estimate please.
your gun was probably made from 1915 to 1940. value is $100 to $500 depending on condition.. bushrod
Thank you natty bumpo, that was a great help.Do you know any web sights to look these things up,gun values, dates of manufacture etc. that are free. Thanks
