made in 8 south st Chichester. 12 ***** side by side shotgun.

I am thinking of restoring this gun but I don't know the age or value and can't seem to find any info on it, if anyone can tell me anything about this gun, I don't want to restore it without knowing anything about it.

Side by Sides of the World for Y2K says that John Tisdall is listed as a gun, rifle and pistol maker with a shop in Chichester, England circa 1864 to 1900. No other history known. There is another gunmaker named William Henry Tisdall so don't get them confused.
