I understand that W.H. Davenport Firearms made this shotgun for E.K. Tryon Company of Philadelphia, but haven't found anything else about it. Saw the gun at an old antique shop, it's a top break single shot, and the barrel seems to be missing the handguard. Condition is poor, shooting mechanism seems to be OK. Thx for any info.

These old trade guns don't bring much, Granted, there are fluxuations in value depending on region but one in poor condition and missing parts is probably only "worth" $15, and that would be if you needed it for parts.

Ahhh but gentlemen, you forget the Shotgunworld retoration contest. Scarf this old gun up for $10- $15 , take some pics of it, spend a little time fabricating the forearm, shine her up, get her blued and for about $100 you've filled up slack time, got a nice looking shooter (probably) and accomplished something fun.

but then again, I'm obsessed ;)
