I am writing concerning a shotgun that my Grandfather had questions about. It is a single barrel hammerless shotgun (possibly a 16 ga.) with the engraving of Lefever Arm Co. Ithica, NY. He thought it was a Ithica and I have read that Lefever Arm Co. was bought by Ithica, so I was wondering if you could give me any information concerning the type of gun that he has.

I think he got a better gun personally, even though Ithaca produced them as a utility grade gun.

It's either a Long Range Trap and Field (model 2) or if it has a vent rib it's the Single Barrel Trap Vent Rib (model 3)
