I need to load 2 7/8" 10 ga shells for a 1901 winchester lever action shotgun. Does anyone know if the old Lee loader handsets will load 2 7/8" shells? Any helpful suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks, oldbrad
You might want to check out Ebay. I got a Herter's reloading tool in 10 GA that is the same set up as the old Lee Loader. I think I paid $20-$30 for it. Be vigilant and you should be able to piclk one up.
Consider doing a roll crimp. I bought a roll crimper from Ballistic Products specifically to load 2 7/8" Bismuth loads for my sxs 10ga. Roll crimping is easy and fairly fast. I tried the Lee handheld loader first and could not get nice crimps with it.
