I just got a used PW 800 convertible that I plan on using to load LNLR for cowboy shooting. My previous loaders both had adjustable shot/powder bars, the PW uses bushings. The load I found that closely replicates the LNLR load calls for 14.7 gr of american select powder. In looking at the Alliant powder bushing chart for PW it shows the lowest charge with American Select is 16.4. How do I determine which bushing will throw the load I want to load? Anyone else load this load on a PW machine that would share their data? The load I am referencing is STS hull, WAA12L gray wad ,14.7 grains american select, 26 grams of #8 shot and a win 209 primer for 976 fps. I also need some info about changing primers because of availability I don't have any winchester 209, I have CCI and Federal primers.

I'd order a Hornady Pacific 366 bushing no. 390 and maybe a 402 and start from there. I think you'll have to open it up some to dial it in. Always verify your drops with a scale, bushing charts are a guidline at best.

Ponsness, Hornady, Spolar, and RCBS powder bushings are all compatible. Hornady bushings tend to be a bit less expensive and their bushing no is the inside diameter of the bushing which makes them a bit easier to figure out what you want.

Somewhere on shotgunworld there is a ponsness bushing inside diameter list.

Looks like ponsness F2 would be close.
