Preface. I am looking to buy one cause a family member of mine was forced labor at the fn factory during the occupation.

That aside. A local shop has one for 2600 and that seems really over priced from what i have seen/read. What ya all think i should see for it to be worth that? Like if it was an "a" serial with capture papers and tangent sight is that still a high asking price?

I a m stopping by tomorrow to get more info, but i am traveling so if i dont buy tomorrow, i likley wont buy. so wanted to get an idea of what you all would look for in a 2600$ nazi stamped hi power?

I thought I had once seen years of manufacture for Hi powers with Nazi Marks based on serial numbers. Is this available ? David

I have a 1950s Hi-Power with the internal extractor, thunbprint and old style mags. I'm aware that to determine its date of manufacture an expert has to examine the gun, or have really good photos of it disassembled. But just out of curiosity does anyone have a Hi-Power with a serial numnber...

@40Shotguns Thanks for the links! for some reason when I google for a bit I didn't turn those ones up. They where helpfull!

So not sure what prices are expected then.
They wanted 2600 for a late war 48xxxB serial that was really sloppy feeling, had nothing special but a holster ( I think it was a last ditch one???), no trophy papers or anything with it. but that seemed way over priced for one so passed for now.
