is there anything i need to do to the wood should i be hunting in teh rain. just moved from arizona where it never rains so i never thought about it before. anything else about caring for the gun. do i need to do a complete cleaning on the gun each time in the rain even if i am hunting for several days at a time??

it has been the experience of some of us here, myself included, that the satin finish on the 503 does not hold up well in weather. We have been pleased with the result of putting a coating of a product called "Tru-Oil" on the wood.
