M37 Help?

320 Views 2 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  deadapair
I am search of an M37 Deer Slayer riffled 12 gauge barrel. It's a 2 ¾" or 3" chamber with a serial number M37 00214404.
The two main questions I have are. How do I know if this is a fixed barrel gun? And where can I find a barrel?

Any information would be extremely helpful.

Thank you

The barrel should be easily removed by opening the action, TIGHTENING the cap at the front of the magazine, twisting the barrel 90-degrees, then pulling. Ithaca Gun Co. went tits-up, but I think (going out on a limb here fellas) that Remington may make a barrel for or can be adapted to that gun.
Deerslayer: removeable barrel like all other Model 37s.

Deerslayer II: fixed (non-removeable) free floating barrel. The best slug gun Ithaca ever made, and one of the best ever, period.
