I would say it should. I have an 87 barrel and it fits my 1974 M37 perfectly.

 

The only difference between a model 37 and 87 is the model number. Other than that they are the exact same gun.

 

Yes all the barrels above 855,000 will fit the Ohio made guns. However Ithacagun will tell you that you should send the combo in to have them check the headspace. I have never done that however should. My second Ohio made 37 came in yesterday a 12 ga. Ultralight with 26" choked tubed barrel. It weighs 6 pounds 2 oz. with the Ohio made CT bbl. and with an older 28" roto forged fixed Mod VR it comes in at 5 pounds 14 oz. I'm shooting both barrels on the Ultra in a couple of hours for Sporting Clays to see which one I prefer to use for hunting pheasants.
