Been fighting the final crimp for a while on some 2 3/4 remington hulls,using a mec 600 jr mark v. I adjusted the cam and punch best i could, and this is what I ended up with (see attached pictures) any tips or pointers would be nice.. yes, I know one is swirled a little bit, that was the first of that batch before I started adjusting

They look decent for Field and Clay hulls to me. What are you loading in them. I see a canister of Steel powder in your picture.

24.5 gr unique powder, 1 1/8 oz load

Try just a bit more pre-crimp if the tiny hole bothers you. I agree they look fine for the hull type.

The plastic in those hulls seems to be a little thicker and tougher than STS or Premiers. They don't last any better but are a little tougher to crimp the first time.

Second a “tad more pre-crimp” … otherwise just Choot’em Up !!

Measure the length of the hulls. If they differ, you will drive yourself crazy with adjustments. Find a happy medium and stick with it. Open a box of factory, chances are some will have a tiny hole or slight swirl. I think you are overthinking it. Nothing wrong with any of those shells. Go shoot them.

The crimps look pretty good really. The hulls might be just a tad overfilled. I like to measure from the top of the hull to the top of the stack inside the hull just before the crimp. How much plastic is left? If its less that .375, your stack might be a bit high leading to some of the bulging I see. Wads will compress to some degree and compensate for stack height. Some wads have more range than others. Maybe post your load details and and that measurement.
