I just read on the internet a comment that ejectors on Model 12 Winchesters, after 1950, can be defective, and cost a lot of money to repair.

Is this true? Anybody know anything about this?

i've heard a simliar thing, except that not all of them are defective, and that winchester is aware of it and has made replacements parts very inexpensive to avoid bad customer relations

Had a few come across my bench nothing major , cost around $75.00 for the repair, so not to bad for a gun that will be around for another 50 years .
