Just thought I'd post this for those who are considering a Yildz. A couple of months ago, I bought a Yildz Me 12 ga with 28" barrel. I've been able to shoot clays about 6 times with it. I recently purchased a used Browning Citori 20 ga. Hunting model with 26" barrel (made in 1986 but it had never been fired).
This weekend, my SIL and I took them to the range and went through 3 boxes of clays (90 per box). The bottom line is that he shoots better with the Browning and I shoot better with the Yildz. I have to admit that I was really expecting to rip the clays up with the new Browning, but the Yildz just fits me better. I'll probably improve as I use the Browning, but when I use the Yildz, I feel like I can't miss (of course I do though :roll: …just not as much).
This is the first time I've been able to compare the Yildz to another O/U. Bottom line: this has convinced me that I want to invest in a professional recoil pad on the Yildz. It now has a Limb Saver slip-on, which has increased the LOB to about 15-15 ¼"…too long for me).
The Yildz will remain my main gun for now.
Oh yeah, the Yildz 12 ga 28" and the Browning Hunting 20 ga 26" feel like they weigh about the same. So carrying the Yildz 12 ga in the field would not be an issue.
