My take so far, 10 Mallard drakes, 3 Wood duck drakes, 3 Wood duck hens, 5 Blue Wing Teal drakes, 3 Blue Wing Teal hens and 6 Canada geese. A large migration of ducks arrived around the 15th of November. Had been kind of slow until then and the weather has been to warm for this time of year. The last week of November and the first part of December have been the best here the last few seasons due to lack of water and warm weather. Good luck

What general area are you hunting in? My blind is over near Gustine and the HOT weather has really kept the duck hunting in the sewer so far!!!

I can't get back over til the 10th/11th so hopefully the weather will get worse before then and shove something down from the North.

Good luck.

I have mainly been hunting Grizzly Island. People have been saying that it is slow but I have been seeing plenty of shooting. This is my first season hunting though. The hunting results posted online are alittle skewed because there are alot of pheasant hunters out. I had hunted a few weekends down near Los Banos and it was very slow down there.

None so far as I am still desperate and boatless. However, I got a call from a buddy and he is headed out this weekend. He wants me to take him out and show him around the local marsh. Hopefully, by Saturday night I can contribute some numbers.

Ducks: 0
Geese: 0
Coots: 0
Swans: 0
Sandhill Cranes: 0
any other miscellaneous waterfowl: 0

And these are my totals for all hunting seasons since 1979.

But...I'm sure glad you fellows are out there goin' after 'em! Waterfowling is a lot of fun and game populations need to be controlled.

I spend my time in the uplands chasing my pointing dogs.

good luck on the rest of your season

Add 6 mallard drakes to the list. Finally got the weather we needed to get the birds moving. Had to beat the Canada geese out of the spread with a stick. They were migrating in by the hundreds but the season here is closed on them til about Christmas. Hope they stick around awhile. A large migration of mallards also arrived this weekend. If your south of Missouri get ready as this week isn't going to get out of the 20's all week so we should freeze up pretty solid. Time for me to hit the Missouri river.
