I have a Citori XT Trap which I love shooting but the butt stock has a crack at the base of the tang. I tried MGW for a replacement stock, but they were all out. Macon has a stock for a 425. My question is will a 425 stock fit and XT action? It is the short tang version. Thanks in advance. Any help will be appreciated.

I asked a skilled local gunsmith, who's work on other guns for both my wife and me, and he told me he couldn't repair the crack. It's still functional the way it is now, but I'm afraid it'll separate in the middle of a club match. Maybe I'll just try to find someone who specializes on stock repairs. Good advice, thank you!

Your XT has a high and possibly parallel comb specifically built for Trap shooting. Stocks are not necessarily interchangeable on most O/U, but often can be fitted with a little tinkering, for lack of a better word. As far as I know, a 425 stock will be a field stock with completely different dimensions from the trap stock on your gun. Are you aware of that?

There most certainly is -- the "Super Thin" part, which they really mean. There are about a hundred "super glues" made and 99% of them will not work as well for repairing a crack in a stock. Considering the small cost of the Bob Smith relative to the importance of getting the repair done right, I am not going to screw around with anything else.

The super-thin CA works by wicking up to the head of the crack. If you put a CA glue in the crack that is not quite thin enough it does NOT wick all the way but it does forever block a sufficiently thin glue from getting there.

I imagine somebody else makes a CA with as low a viscosity but I am not going to take the time to try to find them. I KNOW Bob Smith's Super-Thin works. They make other CA's but they will not work. You want the Super Thin.
