Yesterday I picked up a used 12 gauge LH Magnus sporting in almost new condition that I purchased from Coles Gunsmithing. As soon as I left the local FFL I headed to the local range to pattern it after adjusting the comb.
The results were 60/40 patterns which suit me fine. The fit and feel overall seems great. I might not shoot any better than with my Browning 725, but I'm certainly pleased with it. Even the local dealer mentioned it was "a great looking shotgun".

Thank all of you for the positive feedback. A few pics included here, not nearly as nice as in GG's catalog though. I'm planning on taking it out tomorrow to try it out if my shooting partners can make it. Heck, even if they can't, my Wheely Bird/wobble will throw them with a delay setting. 😊

You picked up a great gun that comes with customer service to match. I had three CG’s … nothing but praise from me.
That's great to hear, nothing beats feedback from satisfied customers! Often the evaluations from shooting magazines needs to be taken with a large handful of salt. 🥴

One thing I noticed while pattering my CG, the chokes definately pattern tighter than the same with my 725. From the small number I fired, they did seem nicely uniform if there is such an animal regarding shotgun patterns.

Beautiful gun. You will be surprised what some regular beeswax rubbed into the stock will do.
I took it out today for it's trial by fire and it passed with flying colors! I definitely believe it fits me better and the number of dead birds backs that up. It feels much like my Browning 725, but again feels more " dynamic ". Maybe it's the "bling" or my imagination; however I know from rifle competition if one believes it that is enough. :giggle:
