The new "LC Smith" O/Us and SxSs that Marlin is importing from Italy are made by Fausti Stefano. I've handled the O/U at Bass Pro Shop, and it's a nice solid field grade gun that sells for around $1100.
The LC Smith Faustis use a different action than the bargain basement Faustis that are imported by Traditions and were formerly sold through WalMart.

The Fausti company is a very advanced company. Most of their business is in machining aircraft parts, etc. I believe it is still called Fausti and Daughters -- the three daughters each run different divisions of the company--all are very good looking and very well educated (and are all are happily married). I would say that anything they produce shotgun wise would be very good quality.
